What is an online consultation?

An online consultation is a personalised session conducted over the internet. 

How does an online consultation work?

When you book your appointment through the website, you’ll receive a link to join a secure video call (zoom). During the consultation, we’ll have a one-on-one conversation where we’ll listen to your concerns, ask questions about your health history, and provide recommendations based on the nature/area of your appointment.

Is an online consultation as effective as in-person?

Yes! Online consultations are equally effective. With a detailed conversation, we can offer the same personalised guidance as you would receive in person, all from the comfort of your home.

What do I need for the online consultation?

All you need is a stable internet connection, a quiet space, and a device with video and audio capabilities (such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer).

Do I need to prepare anything before the session?

When you make your booking, it’s helpful to fill out the booking form with as much detail as possible, so that you can take full advantage of your appointment time. Please think about any specific concerns or goals you want to address. Also, have a list of current medications or supplements you’re taking.

How long is the consultation?

The initial consultation typically lasts 40-60 minutes. Follow-up sessions are usually shorter, around 20 minutes, depending on your needs.

Do I have to have my camera on during the online appointment?

For an online consultation, it’s important that we’re able to see you, as visual assessments play a key role in Ayurveda, just like they would in an in-person consultation. Additionally, having the camera on helps ensure we’re speaking with the right person, which is essential for both security and the integrity of our session. We want to provide you with the best possible care, and being able to see you helps us do that effectively.

Is the information discussed during the consultation kept confidential?

Absolutely! All consultations are conducted with strict confidentiality, and your personal information is protected.

Is it OK for me to have someone else present with me for my appointment?

Of course! We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your appointment. However, it’s important to make sure there are no distractions, so we can focus entirely on your health and well-being. If you feel having someone else present will help, we can certainly discuss it, but it’s often best to have a quiet, private space to get the most out of our time together.

Can this person ask a quick question regarding their health during my appointment?

We appreciate their interest, but to ensure that we can dedicate our full attention to you and your health during our session, we focus on one client at a time. If your companion has any questions or would like guidance, we’d be happy to schedule a separate appointment for them. This way, both of you can receive the personalised attention you deserve.

Will there be anyone else present from your side?

We respect your privacy completely. During our appointment, it will just be you and your consultant —no one else will be present unless we mutually agree to include someone for a specific reason.

If we must connect with you from a different location which we think you may not be comfortable with, due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, we will notify you ahead of time so that you can decide if this is OK. If you are not comfortable with this, we will offer to reschedule your appointment free of extra charge.

Your wellbeing, comfort and confidentiality are our top priorities, and we aim to create a safe space for our discussions. 

What will I receive after the consultation?

Following your session, you’ll receive a personalised food list tailored to your unique energy type, highlighting foods to prioritise, those to enjoy in moderation, and ones to avoid. For a more comprehensive plan, you have the option to purchase an enhanced package. This includes personalised food recommendations with recipes, lifestyle guidance, herbal supplements, aromatherapy suggestions, colour therapy, and daily routines—all specifically designed to support your well-being.

During your appointment will can advise if the enhanced package may be beneficial to you.

Is healing guaranteed in Ayurveda?

Each individual’s body, mind, and environment are unique, and healing depends on multiple factors. Ayurveda emphasises balance and prevention rather than a quick fix. Ayurvedic treatments aim to address the root cause of a condition, and the effectiveness of these treatments can vary depending on various factors, like your unique constitution, the severity of the imbalance, your current lifestyle and diet, your level of commitment and consistency, your mental & emotional state, and any other underlying health conditions you may have which could affect the body’s All in all, Ayurveda offers a holistic path to healing, but success depends on how well an individual embraces the process, and the specific circumstances of their health.

Can I book follow-up consultations?

Yes, follow-up consultations are encouraged to monitor progress and make adjustments to your wellbeing plan.  

What is the cost of an online consultation?

What if I am worried about allergies/sensitivities?

You will be asked to declare any known allergies in your first appointment and it is paramount that you are clear about these. We provide diet and lifestyle recommendations based on the information you share with us and to the best of our knowledge. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that any suggested foods, herbs, or products are safe for you, especially if you have allergies or sensitivities. Please consult with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns.

What if I am not comfortable sharing personal and private information about my body and health?

We completely understand that sharing personal information can feel uncomfortable, and we respect your privacy. Please know that any information you share will be kept strictly confidential. The more you feel comfortable sharing, the better we can tailor our advice and support to your unique needs. This helps us provide you with the most effective guidance on your journey to better health. However, we will work with whatever you’re comfortable sharing at your own pace.

What if I need urgent care and I can't get an appointment with you?

If you’re in need of an emergency appointment and for immediate health concerns, it’s important to seek urgent care from a medical professional or call emergency services. Your safety is the priority, and they will be best equipped to assist you in a crisis. If you’d like, you can schedule a follow-up appointment once you’re feeling better and no longer require emergency care.

Do I need to keep booking ongoing appointments to stay healthy?

While regular consultations can be helpful, our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools you need to maintain your health independently. After a few sessions, many clients feel confident managing their well-being with the guidance they’ve received. However, we’re always here for follow-up consultations if you ever need additional support or adjustments to your plan. The frequency of our sessions is entirely up to you and what feels right for your journey.

We encourage you to embrace Ayurveda, and we’re confident that once you do, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner.
